Andrew "Mu Shu" Osterlund
Mu Shu is the Head Instructor of Americana Brazilian JIu-Jitsu and a Brown Belt under world class Black Belt competitor, Professor Tanner Rice. Since 2007 Andrew has worked tirelessly developing a positive and vibrant Jiu-Jitsu environment in Butte County. Along with opening and maintaining the only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training facility in Paradise, CA he has also started a new school in Chico, CA. Mu Shu has been an avid competitor since he was a white belt. Most recently Mu Shu earned a bronze medal in the Brown Belt division at the US OPEN 16 in 2013 & 2014 along with the Sacramento NAGA 2014. Mu Shu also won back-to-back gold medals at the US Open in the Purple Belt division for 2011 and 2012. Before this, he most notably took 2nd in the Blue Belt division at the Abu Dahbi West Coast qualifiers in 2009 along with silver medals at the US OPEN in 2010 & 2009.
Andrew (Andy) Skalman
Andy is a Brown Belt under Professor Tanner Rice, and a founding member of Americana Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Andy is an instructor at both the Paradise and Chico locations, where he teaches both adult and kid classes. Andy loves to compete and has been competing in tournaments since his white belt and most recently earned a Championship belt at the Sacramento NAGA 2014 grappling tournament. He also earned a silver medal in the purple belt open weight division at the 6th American Cup.
Randy is a Brown Belt and has consistently demonstrated his value as a competitor and instructor within the organization since 2008. His amazing work ethic is second only to his love for the art. He is an original founding member of the Americana Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team, lifetime local Paradise resident, proud parent and devoted family man.
David (Dave) Milardic
Dave is a Brown Belt who has been pursuing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2007. Dave is an original founding member of the Americana Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team. He also trains in boxing, and believes strongly in the positive power of Jiu-Jitsu. He has been following the lifestyle wholeheartedly since his introduction to it.
